Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC)

Full-time / Part-time

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Licensed Addiction Counselor to provide individual and group therapy for DUI and substance abuse programs. Must be licensed by the Colorado Behavioral Health Administration.

Requirements

  • Current Colorado LAC or equivalent license
  • Experience with DUI education and therapy preferred
  • Strong group facilitation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Facilitate group and individual counseling sessions (in-person and telehealth)
  • Maintain accurate and timely client records
  • Collaborate with probation officers, courts, and other agencies
  • Participate in clinical supervision and staff meetings

Part-time

Requirements

  • Lived experience with addiction and sustained recovery
  • Certified Peer Recovery Coach (CPRC) certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong empathy and motivational interviewing skills
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries
  • Excellent listening and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one peer support to clients
  • Assist clients in developing recovery plans and identifying resources
  • Offer encouragement and hope throughout the recovery process
  • Facilitate peer support groups
  • Document client interactions and progress

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or counseling setting is a plus

  • Assist with billing and payment processing
  • Provide general administrative support to counselors and management
